Bluelight is a Norwegian-owned company in the Philippines. Our main goal is to help Norwegian companies that need new employees within IT services. But of course we help companies from other countries as well.
With Bluelight, you get developers for more than half of what it cost in Norway. A full-time senior developer in Norway usually costs you around NOK 8 to 900,000 and maybe more in salary per year. Employer's tax, holiday pay, office space, and various other direct and indirect costs are also added. Not to mention hiring a Norwegian developer on a consulting basis. Then you have to pay well over NOK 1,000 an hour, even in long contracts.

You choose to bring in developers through us, you pay a fixed monthly price based on 160 working hours per month. We make it easy and categorize our developers into three different levels, based on their competence and experience. All our developers, regardless of level, have a relevant bachelor's and/or master's degree.
A junior developer normally has two to four years of relevant experience.
A senior developer has four years of relevant experience or more.
A team leader has four years of relevant experience and has taken on management tasks in addition to being a senior developer.
When you purchace remote services abroad:
When Norwegian businesses purchase remotely delivered services from abroad, they must calculate value added tax (VAT) through a scheme called “reverse charge.” This means that the buyer is responsible for calculating and reporting the VAT.
Since we are registered in the Philippines and even though the owners are Norwegian, we are considered as a foreign company. Therefore, we do not inform you whether our prices are with or without VAT.
The price we state is the one you pay each month. In practice, this means that you can deduct 25% VAT on that amount. This is also an amount that you get back from the state. Example: You pay our price of 4000 Euro. You deduct 25% of that amount. Which then becomes 1000 Euro
§ 11-5. Payment of input VAT
(1) If input VAT exceeds output VAT in a period, the excess input VAT must be paid. Tax returns must have been submitted for previous periods.
Obligations for Services Purchased from Abroad
When Norwegian companies or public enterprises purchase services from abroad—including from Svalbard or Jan Mayen—they are responsible for calculating and paying Value Added Tax (VAT) in Norway. This reverse charge mechanism applies under the following conditions:
The buyer is a public entity or a business operating in Norway, or has a relevant connection to Norway. This includes foreign businesses with a registered VAT representative in Norway.
The service would be subject to VAT if it were sold within Norway.
The service may be performed in any location, regardless of where the supplier is based.
The purchase must be for a service that can be performed anywhere.
In order for you to be able to say that you have purchased a service from abroad, this must be a type of service that can be performed anywhere. And can be delivered as remotely services. Examples of remotely services:
advisory/consulting services
Accounting services
Services that are delivered electronically, including digital products delivered
Online labor rental
